A Newport Coast mansion tied to Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine is looking for its next owner.
The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom estate in Pelican Crest is on the market for $40 million, the Orange County Register reported. The property spans roughly 11,200 square feet and sits on more than three-quarters of an acre behind gates with panoramic ocean views.
A private trust managed by LaVine’s business manager bought the Mediterranean-style home in 2023 for $34 million. The two-time NBA All-Star’s house was built in 2010 and underwent a pandemic-era overhaul by its prior owner, who transformed it into a high-tech wellness compound with polished luxury finishes and home automation systems.
The manse contains health and wellness amenities fit for a King, including a golf simulator, infrared sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym outfitted with state-of-the-art training machines, and yoga and Pilates spaces. Other interior and exterior features include a private theater, a double-height foyer, a loggia, an infinity-edge pool, an ocean-facing terrace, a bar and a kitchen with dual islands and high-end appliances. The primary suite has heated stone floors, a retractable ceiling-mounted television, spa-style bathroom and a private terrace with a fireplace and built-in spa.
LaVine spent eight seasons with the Chicago Bulls before landing in Sacramento last year. He faces an upcoming June 29 deadline on a $48.9 million player option for next season. The Olympic gold medalist underwent season-ending hand surgery in February.
Newport Coast’s Pelican Crest neighborhood frequently fetches sales for similar prices to LaVine’s listing. Earlier this spring, a 13,206-square-foot home at 36 Pelican Crest Drive sold for nearly $31.9 million, down from its original list price last year of almost $50 million. This time last year, another estate at 1 Pelican Crest Drive sold for $42 million, setting a price record for the year. The average home cost in Newport Coast is nearly $5.6 million, according to Zillow.
