Fred Segal’s Daughter Lists LA-Area Home for $10 Million

Fred Segal’s Daughter Lists LA-Area Home for Million

The daughter of famed Los Angeles retailer Fred Segal placed her Toluca Lake home on the market for just under $10 million.

After a little over two years at 4343 Forman Avenue and a full restoration of the property, Segal is now looking to sell, with the asking price penciling out to $2,029 per square foot. That’s over 100 percent more than the $4.8 million, or $974 per square foot, Segal paid for the home in 2024.

The Segal name is synonymous with Los Angeles retail. Annie’s late father’s namesake specialty stores were once viewed as trendsetting launchpads for many local designers. Last month, Canadian retailer Aritzia bought Fred Segal, while also inking a lease at the company’s former flagship location at 8100 Melrose Avenue.

Carolwood Estates’ Jonathan Mogharrabi and Marci Kays hold the listing.

Everything from the Toluca Lake home’s roof, electrical and plumbing to its finishes were renovated after Segal bought the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home that comes in at nearly 5,000 square feet.

Other highlights of the gated property include a flat lot that’s roughly three-quarters of an acre, custom woodwork and pool house.

Toluca Lake, which is part of the city of Los Angeles, is known for its celebrity residents, including Andy Garcia, singer Sia, Steve Carell, Viola Davis and Kirsten Dunst. Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra all called the neighborhood home at one time. Last month, “Home Alone” star Macaulay Culkin and his partner Brenda Song sold their home at 10250 Moorpark Street off market for $14.3 million, or $2,921 per square foot. The property is located about a five-minute walk from Segal’s home.

Mogharrabi and Kays have a penchant for representing some big names in key deals for the marketplace. They count Brad Pitt among their clients and most recently represented the actor in his $12 million purchase of a Hollywood Hills home last August. The duo handled the listing of 1844 Silverwood Terrace, which sold last year for $10 million, a record for the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles.

This year, they double-ended the $8.6 million deal of Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo’s former Los Feliz home at 2401 Nottingham Drive to mark the Los Angeles neighborhood’s priciest closing since the $13.5 million trade of 4533 Cockerham Drive in June.
