Chicago-Based Deskpass and Industrious’ Breather to Merge

Two of the largest flexible workspace companies have announced plans to merge, as WeWork’s competitors continue to pursue opportunities in the coworking sector. Deskpass, headquartered in Chicago, will merge with Breather, a subsidiary of New York-based Industrious.

The merger will expand Deskpass’s workplace solutions and network, supporting the shift toward hybrid work. Together, the companies have supported over 500,000 flexible workspace reservations. Deskpass has more than 60 coworking locations in the Chicago area and spaces in 22 countries across 220 cities.

“Over the past two years, Deskpass and Breather have both experienced a more than tenfold surge in bookings, revolutionizing how thousands of companies approach workspace flexibility,” said Sam Rosen, CEO of Deskpass. “As we operate Breather in partnership with Industrious, we’re poised to further accelerate this growth, bringing innovative, on-demand workspace solutions to the forefront of real estate strategy.”

Connect Industrial Midwest 2024 will take place on March 5, 2024, at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Illinois. Click here for more information and to register.
