Steel Peak, a commercial real estate investment firm focused on industrial outdoor storage (IOS) properties, has acquired an industrial outdoor storage (IOS) property located at 6975 Camino Maquiladora in San Diego for $2.62 million. It marks the fifth IOS property acquisition for Steel Peak in 2024.
Despite launching as recently as January 2024, the company has emerged as the most active IOS Investment group in the San Diego market. Steel Peak will look to grow its IOS portfolio in 2025 in other key markets across the Western U.S.
“IOS continues to gain momentum as a rapidly growing investment class driven by steady demand for small-to-mid-sized functional warehouses that have large excess yard space for outdoor storage,” said Blake Rodgers, Steel Peak principal. “While we were mainly focused on the San Diego area in our first year, our goal for 2025 is to strategically acquire IOS properties in other key Western markets in 2025.”
