Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC) and TMG Partners have sold Capitol Square, a 21,100-square-foot retail project in downtown Fremont. Terms were not disclosed.
Capitol Square is the retail component of the $100-million Locale mixed-use project which was completed in the spring of 2021. Locale includes 157 units of housing in addition to the retail space, and was developed by TMG Partners, Sares Regis and Summerhill Homes.
“This fully leased retail center highlights the growing vibrancy of downtown Fremont,” said Chris DeHaan, vice president for SRGNC. “We’re proud of the mix of businesses we were able to attract to Capitol Square, which has created an authentic sense of place that will build lasting value for both the community and future development in the downtown.”
Don LeBuhn, Rick Ryan and Dan Wald of Cushman & Wakefield served as brokers for the sale of Capitol Square.
