Pickleball Concept Will Make California Debut with Lewis Retail Centers

Lewis Retail Centers, a division of Lewis Group of Companies, said Wednesday that construction has commenced on Electric Pickle, a chef-driven restaurant, bar and pickleball social house concept at The Resort in Rancho Cucamonga. The entertainment destination is set to make its California debut in summer 2027 at the master-planned urban village developed by Lewis Planned Communities.

The 8,500-square-foot restaurant and social club will anchor The Courtyard, a 31,800-square-foot urban village at the corner of 4th Street and Resort Parkway, featuring 10 pickleball courts, seven outdoor and three covered, alongside a lawn and multiple bar and lounge areas. The site puts Electric Pickle at the center of one of the Inland Empire’s most active retail and entertainment corridors.

“Pickleball isn’t a trend anymore, it’s emerged as a lifestyle, and people are attracted to it the same way they gather around great food,” said Ken Caron, SVR, Lewis Retail Centers. “This welcome addition to The Courtyard aligns with our vision for the project and is a signal of the momentum, energy and excitement building across the entire community.”
