NAI Capital Completes Sale of Former Greater LA Scouting Headquarters

NAI Capital Commercial completed the $5.5-million sale of a 15,000-square-foot office building on a 65,632-square-foot lot at 3450 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. in Pasadena. Executive managing director Philip Attalla and EVPs Guillermo Olaiz and Tina LaMonica represented the seller, Greater Los Angeles Scouting (formerly Greater Los Angeles Area Boy Scouts of America), in the transaction.

The buyer, a private investor, was represented by BJ Investment Group. The sale entailed a complex lot split and the creation of a new parcel map with Los Angeles County, enabling the seller to separate the property from its current ownership and acquire the parceled land.

“The proceeds from this transaction will perpetuate the legacy of the Smiser family, for whom the building was named, and continue to positively impact thousands of boys and girls in the Scouting program,” said Bob Kurkjian, CEO of Greater LA Scouting. The property served as the local headquarters for the Boy Scouts of America from 1994 until 2020.
