A unique San Marcos apartment complex is almost ready for tenants. Named Flatz 512, the project is built beforehand in a factory and then shipped in pieces to the site to be stacked and finished (see photo). Z-Modular is developing the $62 million project.
The project broke ground in 2020 and is expected to be completed in August.
Flatz 512 has 384 units across eight buildings in addition to the leasing office. Flatz 512 be leasing studios and one- to three-bedroom units.
The $62 million project will offer a variety of amenities, including:
- Pickleball court
- Fitness center
- Sports simulator lounge
- Dog park, spa
- Conference room
- Grilling patio with firepits
- electric vehicle charging stations.
Z- Modular touts on its website that it’s the only fully integrated self-development company to reinvent the modular building and construction processes. It says it can do a project in half the time.
