Rudin finalized leases with law firm Sacks & Sacks LLP and nonprofit After-School All-Stars totaling 13,377 square feet at One Battery Park Plaza. The two leases bring the 35-story, 870,000 square-foot office tower in Lower Manhattan to 96% leased.
Sacks & Sacks, which specializes in obtaining compensation and damages for construction workers injured on the job, signed a six-year lease for 9,526 square feet. The firm’s headquarters relocation from 150 Broadway is set for the fourth quarter of this year.
The New York chapter of After-School All-Stars signed a five-year and four-month lease for 3,851 square feet. The organization, which works to close the opportunity gap for low-income students, plans to relocate from 515 Madison Ave. in October.
Kevin Daly, VP of Rudin, represented building ownership in both transactions. Alan Desino and Bret Varricchio of Colliers handled the transaction for Sacks & Sacks. After-School All-Stars was represented by Gary Kamenetsky of CBRE.
