Gantry Arranges Refi on Buena Park Retail Center


Gantry secured an $11-million permanent loan to refinance a Buena Park retail center located at 5960–5990 Orangethorpe Ave. and anchored by a strong collection of fast-casual and quick-service restaurant concepts. Principal George Mitsanas, senior director Bahman Mirhashemi and associate Alicia Sabanero from Gantry’s El Segundo office, represented the borrower, a private real estate investor.

The seven-year, fixed-rate loan was placed with one of Gantry’s correspondent insurance company lenders and includes a 30-year amortization schedule. Gantry will service the loan throughout the loan term.

The center features a curated mix of nationally recognized and regional tenants, including Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Chipotle, Habit Burger & Grill, Jack in the Box, and Gaucho Grill. Sabanero said, “This center’s specialized mix of restaurant concepts—without a traditional grocery or big-box anchor—presented a unique challenge in sourcing a seamless refinance solution for maturing debt. By highlighting the property’s strong operating metrics, strategic location, and roster of nationally recognized credit tenants, our team was able to leverage Gantry’s correspondent life company network to deliver a competitive, optimized financing strategy supporting our client’s long-term hold plans.”
