Crescent Communities plans to break ground this month on a 237-unit apartment complex north of Charlotte, on the Lake Norman shorefront. The Charlotte Business Journal reports Crescent acquired just over 15 acres in Davidson for $6.5 million.
The development will be named Novel Davidson. Novel by Crescent Communities is one of the developer’s main multifamily brands and includes several projects throughout the Charlotte region.
Crescent’s Novel brand has recently included several projects in the region, including those in Ballantyne (see photo) and areas near University City and Mallard Creek. A Novel project is expected to begin next year at Crescent’s massive The River District project in west Charlotte.
