QTS Data Centers plans to build a second data center adjacent to its first one near the AllianceTexas development. The 471,000-square-foot, $220 million project is just east of Interstate 35W.
Construction is scheduled to start in March and be completed in early 2026. Kansas-based QTS operates data centers in more than a dozen states.
The Dallas News reports the North Fort Worth data center is in the same area where Facebook operates its massive, $1 billion data center campus.
Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the largest data center markets in the country, and demand for new space is at a record high. Cushman and Wakefield estimate at the end of 2023, 1.4 million square feet of data center space was under construction in North Texas.
