Affordable housing developer Logos Faith Development is accelerating its growth with plans to break ground on 15 projects over the next three years, a pace that would put the faith-based development specialist in the same conversation as some of the region’s biggest affordable housing players.
The Los Angeles-based firm is planning five groundbreakings each year from 2026 through 2028, Yield Pro reported. Its pipeline now totals roughly $750 million and more than 2,000 affordable housing units, developed in partnership with more than 15 faith-based organizations.
The expansion is also reshaping Logos Faith’s office footprint. The developer has signed a long-term lease for a new headquarters at 515 South Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles, moving from the Culver City area. The larger office is intended to support the company’s growing development operation across Southern California.
The move from the Westside to downtown is also a notable bet on the downtown office market as many longtime downtown tenants, such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, flee in the opposite direction. Logos Faith CEO Martin Porter said the central location will help the company support its affordable housing projects underway and in the pipeline across the Los Angeles region.
Lee & Associates’ Evan Jurgensen represented Logos Faith as tenant broker, while Bridgeway Real Estate Partners’ Spike Whitney advised the developer. Avison Young’s John Eichler and Tyler Stark represented the landlord.
Logos Faith Development was founded in 2017 and works with churches and other mission-aligned organizations to convert underutilized land into affordable housing. Its model taps community institutions as development partners. Last year, Logos teamed up with Cal Lutheran Homes to file plans for 67 affordable apartments at 9704 South Broadway in South Los Angeles. That project, like many others in the works across Los Angeles, utilizes Executive Directive 1 to streamline approvals as a 100 percent affordable development.
