Howard Hughes Begins Work on Bridgeland Mixed-Use Project

Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. started work on the Village Green at Bridgeland Central. Village Green will introduce more than 28,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space along with an over 100,000-square-foot H-E-B, which is scheduled to open by the end of 2024. Bridgeland is a 70-acre mixed-use project in Northwest Houston. It’s part of a 925-acre urban district.

Village Green will have a series of inline retail and restaurant spaces, including outdoor patio dining areas. The retail and restaurant sites are slated for completion in spring 2025.

The groundbreaking of Village Green follows a year of immense growth for Bridgeland, including 985 new home sales which ranked Bridgeland as the #2 top-selling master-planned community in Texas for 2023. With more than 22,000 total residents today, Bridgeland is estimated to accommodate nearly 70,000 residents at build-out.
