Prologis has submitted plans for its San Francisco Railyards mixed-use project to the San Francisco Planning Commission. The project now moves into the formal environmental review process with the city.
“This application reflects Prologis’ long-term conviction in San Francisco, and we are ready to move this transformational investment forward,” said Genevieve Cadwalader, VP for Prologis. “We are proud to work alongside Caltrain and the City of San Francisco to achieve an innovative public-private project that will create a dynamic mixed-use neighborhood, enhance mobility and thousands of jobs.”
At full buildout, the 20-acre site along Townsend and King streets would contain up to eight million square feet of development, including 2,500 apartments and an 850-foot tower with a new Caltrain station at its base. The SF Railyards project is anticipated to be completed in phases over a 15- to 20-year period, according to Prologis.
